Trainer
The first step is a standard interview where they ask basic questions. Then, you'll need to create and deliver a 30-minute workshop, which might happen at a school or at the gk office.
- What makes you want to work for this company?
- Which social issues are you most passionate about?
- How would you structure a workshop on a social issue?

Got an email about a week after applying online. Went to an office interview. Within a week, got another email saying I made it to the final round: giving a training session. I picked a time that worked for me and them. It was fun doing the session, and it was about stuff the company does. I was told I'd get an email with the decision. That never happened. I waited two weeks, then emailed to ask about the results. No reply. Waited another week, called, left a message. Still no call back. Called again, and they said they weren't sure how long it would take for the results, could be a week or a month. It's been six months since the interview. I haven't heard anything. I just wish they would've told me if they chose someone else.
- What are your general qualifications?
- Given some scenarios and role-playing exercises relevant to the organization's mission, how would you respond?
Trainer
A recruiter called me to set up an in-person interview. I went in and met with two senior trainers. They said they would call me the next week to let me know their decision. They didn't call, so I called twice. The second time was three weeks later and only because I asked for an update did they tell me I was no longer considered. I feel like if you call someone to come in, you should at least have the courtesy to tell them thank you for your time, we won't be moving forward. During the interview, the two senior trainers were taking notes and writing in front of me. While I was talking, one trainer started covering her paper to block me from reading what she was writing. It was distracting and unprofessional. Either don't take notes or hide your note-taking from the beginning.
- Can you talk about your training experience?
