Applicant
My application was met with a standard email containing a lengthy assignment due within 48 hours. Upon opening the instructions, I attempted to watch an online video featuring a voice with a terrible accent and poor English explaining the task. Given the apparent lack of professionalism, I decided to research the company's reviews on this platform. After reading several reviews, I contacted the company directly. They acknowledged that their interns are unpaid, stating it's an "Unpaid Remote Internship Agreement" but promising extensive learning opportunities in online marketing. The video with the unintelligible voice was sufficient for me to gauge the learning potential versus working for free. I declined.
- A working task to be submitted within 48 hours was provided via email.
Marketing Intern
They asked me about my academic background, my work experience, and my hobbies. They also asked what catches my eye about content marketing, and if I'm aware that it's not probable that they'll offer me a job at the company when I finish.
- What studies did you complete? What is your work experience?
- Do you like writing texts?
- Do you have any problems with the schedule?
Intern
They called me to ask me questions to see if I was the right intern profile they were looking for. They were very friendly and contacted me right away to tell me I had been selected, and I had to complete a questionnaire. In the end, I couldn't start because I began working full-time at my current job.
- Do you have any prior experience?
- Are you available to work flexible hours?
