The interview process was okay. I would definitely say study your vocabulary/glossary terms because they are looking for the exact definition for those glossary/vocabulary terms. I definitely got the sense that they want by the book kind of people NOT true thinkers. Also, I would ask more about the day to day job duties. The initial interview is with the recruiter, I asked about this, but the recruiter said as a technical consultant, will only have 1-2 clients per consultant; however, when I asked the same question at the technical interview, they said they both had 6-7 clients each. I got a sense that they want to over work their technical consultants. Lastly, I have to tell you all is about the technical interview. It is an hour long!!! That is a little too much because you should be able to tell if a person is technical within 10-15 minutes. They are literally drilling you about definitions of each ServiceNow application and JavaScript terms in the technical interview.

Libby called a few minutes late, but confirmed we still had time to talk. The first round interview was about 35 minutes long, and I answered around 6 questions. The interviewer was really nice, a good listener, and friendly. * I got an offer to move on to the next round (a technical interview), and there's still one more before an offer for the job. I found this interview difficult because I was super prepared and had already thought through all my answers for potential Project Manager questions before the call. If I hadn't prepared like that, it would have been really tough to be as thorough as I was.

The interview process was a bit unusual. After a brief intro and discussion about the company and role (about 10 minutes), I had about 5 minutes to talk about my background. The remaining hour was essentially a test, with around 30 questions focused on ServiceNow terminology, requiring precise answers. I felt this approach was flawed, potentially screening out good candidates who think creatively rather than just by the book. Despite receiving positive feedback on my HRSD knowledge and being told I'd be a great fit for the solutions consultant team, I was interviewing for an HRSD role, which seemed contradictory. The second interview also went reasonably well, though I was upfront about my limited experience with CSM compared to HRSD. They suggested I was best suited for the HRSD position. Following this, I experienced a three-week period of silence before the recruiter indicated good feedback and promised an update on next steps. It's now been three months with no further contact, which reflects poorly on the company and their hiring practices. As a former leader and interviewer, I believe their exam-like interview style leads them to miss out on a lot of great talent.

So first there was this recruiter call, then a technical interview with a delivery manager and a ServiceNow architect. They asked me questions straight from the certification tests for specific apps. I told them I hadn't touched some of those apps in years and probably wouldn't know, but they asked anyway. It was a bit much, really, too focused on obscure product stuff and not on how to actually deliver for a client.
