The interview was with the executive assistant, not the VP of Academic Affairs. It was short, under 20 minutes, which makes sense for an entry-level position.

Behavioral Presentation

First, I had an interview with a panel who asked a lot of questions. Then, I had to do a teaching demonstration in a simulated disruptive classroom setting, where the panel members acted as disruptive students. Finally, I interviewed with the President, Dean, and Chair of the department.

I got hired through email. Someone got back to me 2 weeks later to set up an interview. I had the interview on campus with 2 people from the department. I answered 6 questions that they had printed out for me. The interview felt really stiff because they wrote down my answers on a sheet that would be scored, which made it feel more like a test than an interview. At the end of the meeting, they mentioned it might take a while before they got back to me because they wanted to hire all the full-time positions first. I was really confused because they advertised this position. I emailed a few times after to politely ask for updates. I waited a month for any word. They never replied.

First off, after they look at your application, you'll have a screening interview with the HR person. They'll ask you some basic stuff about your past work and if you can do the main job tasks. If you get past that, you'll interview with a group of 3 police officers. They'll have like 6 to 9 questions ready for you.
