The interview process involved a sequence of phone and video calls managed by a foreign recruitment agency. The hiring team only took over during the final stage. Communication methods included email, phone, and text. The hiring timeline was longer than anticipated.

Had a call with HR first, then moved on to the first round of interviews at their London office which consisted of 3 rounds with 2 people each. This was followed by a full-day assessment day. The assessment day involved trading simulations, negotiation exercises, and more interviews. Lots of unusual questions were asked, many related to the market and technical aspects. It was hard to prepare for this coming from a non-oil or commodities background. I found a physical trading interview guide online called 'physical trading prep' which was really helpful.
