Account Manager
So there were a few stages: first, a screening chat with the internal recruiter. Then, I met with the hiring manager, who's the team lead. After that, it was a round robin where I met with the hiring manager again, another manager, and a team member. The main event was a sales pitch, based on a discovery call rather than a demo, for those three people. Finally, I had a meeting with the Sales Director of EMEA. The whole process felt intentionally challenging, and I get why – they're really looking for team fit and to see if you're driven to succeed with their product.

Account Manager
I applied online. A few days later, the recruiter got in touch to set up an initial phone call. I was really excited to hear back so fast because I'm genuinely interested in the role and the company. The call was about 30 minutes long, and honestly, the recruiter's tone was unbelievable. I've never encountered such condescension; it felt like I was wasting her time, even though she initiated contact after reviewing my application, and my experience seems to align well with the job description. She made several passive-aggressive comments that were pretty appalling, despite my thick skin. It was all very strange and disappointing. I was enthusiastic about potential opportunities with the company, but needless to say, my interest has completely vanished.

Account Manager
I had a phone screening first, then a mock sales call where I had to present a deck to three employees in 20 minutes. After that, I was supposed to have a 30-minute interview with the VP of SMB Sales at their Chicago office, but when I got there, it turned out I'd be talking to three other employees as well. The VP started with a brain teaser about finding a heavier ball with a balance scale. When I answered quickly, she got upset and asked about my SAT/ACT scores, questioning if my ACT score was even good. She then turned my question about her career path back on me, asking what she does here. After I answered incorrectly, she asked if I prepped and was wasting her time. Towards the end, she hinted I might not see her again. Three other employees in the role then asked more conversational questions, likely for culture fit, and they were great. A few days later, they got back to me, but since I couldn't start for three months, they asked me to re-contact them closer to my start date. It was a really humbling experience, especially for a company that claims to be transparent.
