Applied via the Glass Lewis career portal and got an invite from HR to do an online assessment just two days later. It's a required step. This diagnostic test had two parts, each 20 minutes long, so 40 minutes total. The first part involved reading a proxy statement and writing a persuasive response. The second part was about executive compensation, including some calculations and vocab. I finished the test the next day. The day after that, I got an invite for an on-site interview. It was a 3-on-1 interview where they had my resume and cover letter. They asked about my interests, corporate governance, and what I knew about executive compensation. They also explained their work structure and how the job is seasonal. The next day, HR emailed for a second on-site interview the following week. On the same day as the second round interview, I also had to do another assessment, this time on reading comprehension and writing, taking 45 minutes. I did the on-site (which was more behavioral, meeting more managers/directors) and the assessment on the same day. Two days after the second interview, I got an invite for the third and final round with a Senior VP. This one was conversational. I got an offer the afternoon after that. The whole process was pretty quick and enjoyable.

The hiring process here is pretty extensive. They tend to bring on permanent research staff from their temporary pool since they've already seen the work people do in the office. If they're interested, you'll have a few meetings with hiring managers, and if you're applying for a research analysis role, there's a writing test. It's a tough test, but it shouldn't be an issue for someone who's gotten this far. My main complaint is that they can be really slow to respond between interview stages, and some folks have waited ages for a definitive answer from the managers.

I got a call about three weeks after applying online and was asked to schedule an interview for the next week. When I went into the office, I was taken to a room off the main floor for a one-on-one. We talked about my resume, and then I got a skills test to see if I could understand and translate foreign market laws for my research. A week later, they emailed a job offer, pending a background check.
