I was contacted by a headhunter. The hiring managers, who would be my direct supervisors, seemed a bit distant initially but became friendlier quickly. Typically, interviews last about an hour, but this one went for 3 hours. The questions began generally and got more specific to the role in the second half. This makes sense because the candidate's fit is really important for these kinds of positions.

The interview had two parts. The first part was 30 minutes to answer three questions about Excel functions. The second part was an interview with one person, who asked a lot of questions like it was an interview for a management position.

I spoke to HR real quick and they set up an interview right away because of my resume. The hiring manager didn't seem to know she was supposed to interview me, and the other two interviewers hadn't read my resume and spent 10 minutes reading it. They felt like they were just there for fun. They mentioned 3-4 people quit in the last 6 months at this plant that's only been open a little over a year. They said the plant is understaffed, undertrained, and undersupervised, which sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. So I dipped. HR just wanted to fill the spot with anyone, and the plant seems like a mess with things totally out of control.
