First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GitHub.
Account Executive
I had a call with the recruiter. I never heard back after the call. The recruitment process seems strange because they mention they interview multiple people at the same time.
- What's your motivation for this role?
Account Executive
The process started off well, I spoke with the recruiter and then had a three hour panel with the team. After that, I never heard back and got ghosted. This is disappointing because GitHub is a big company and I'm not the only one this has happened to. They really need to improve their hiring process and at least be honest if someone doesn't get the job.
- Could you perform a mock pitch for GitHub?
Account Executive
I had a phone interview with a recruiter and then another phone interview with the Regional Sales manager. After that, I had a face-to-face meeting with the VP of sales and a sales engineer. They seemed really positive about the company but didn't get into much detail about what the day-to-day would be like, what they expect, or how they plan to meet their revenue targets. They have great technology and a large user base, but they need to be really focused on growth.
