First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Giftcraft.
Business Intelligence Analyst
Had a quick HR screening. Then interviewed with the hiring manager and HR. They asked about my background and past jobs. I was given a basic test to do at home, which involved an excel ETL process for a table.
- Can you describe your experience and previous positions?
- How would you clean a numeric column?
- Describe how to create a unique code using multiple parameters.
Sales Representative
I met with the Regional Sales Director at an offsite location. It was a one-on-one meeting in a casual lobby setting. We chatted about the company's current status, its growth projections, and any potential changes. I was asked about how my past work experience could be an asset to the company. I learned more than what I found online. They painted a more optimistic picture of the company's future than my own experience suggested, but I suppose that's pretty standard for most companies during interviews.
- What motivates your interest in working for this company?
- In what ways can your professional background contribute to our company's success?
Territory Manager
The interview experience was positive overall, though it involved a significant travel commitment to reach the interviewer's location. The main concern wasn't the interview itself, but rather the misalignment between the job's and commission's actual nature and the expectations set during the interview. The company's practices are somewhat deceptive regarding promises, as they find ways to circumvent responsibilities and avoid fulfilling income guarantees. During the interview, candidates are led to believe that meeting sales goals would result in substantial earnings. However, the reality is that income is only realized once products ship, which frequently doesn't occur even if sales targets are met. I felt there was a lack of honesty throughout my employment, leading to significant disappointment.
- Can you share your experience and highlight your accomplishments?
- Describe situations where you had to manage specific circumstances.
- How did you approach customer interactions?
Procurement Analyst
I had 3 people interview me in the first round, and the very next day, I was interviewed by the top management. After that, I got to meet the team members. They asked me a lot about my skills, how I handle pressure, my behavior when things get tough, and the hard decisions I've had to make.
- Tell me about your knowledge of our industry.
- What do you know about inventory management?
- How familiar are you with costing and profit margins?
