Logistics Intern
Very simple for me for a discovery internship: Dropped CV directly at the store. Interview with the manager about logistics missions. Waiting for a response. I made a phone follow-up. Positive response.
- What are your expectations for the internship?
Sales Representative
It was a pretty short experience but the atmosphere was good. Conditions could be better, but overall it was a good experience. However, the salary isn't up to par with the tasks assigned. They should revise salaries upwards because some tasks can be laborious.

Employee
The interview included a presentation of the company, the position, working hours, salary, my motivations, and career progression opportunities! I got a direct positive response at the end of the interview, and started the job a few days later.
- Why do you want to work with us?
CRM and Client Marketing Manager
I was contacted by an external recruiter in 2024. First, a video call with this recruiter, who I found very unpleasant. Some of their questions were shocking, like 'do you have ups and downs?' - what's the relevance? They also asked illegal questions about my age and family situation. The second interview was with my future manager (N+1), and it wasn't too difficult. Then, a third interview, also with the N+1, but this time in person. She was 25 minutes late to meet me at the ground floor of the headquarters, even though I had arrived 10 minutes early. Again, unbelievable. The job itself seemed interesting, but I declined the offer for several reasons: the salary was way below market rate for this type of position, especially considering it's essentially a Head of CRM role with responsibility for four people needing development. Their budget was 48k€, while the low end for such a role in France is 60k€. Glassdoor confirms this. They tried to justify it by saying it's because it's in Lot-et-Garonne. Also, no 13th month or holiday bonus according to the collective agreement. Minimal benefits, like a health insurance and a discount at Gifi, and that's it. Most importantly, there's no official remote work policy because the CEO is against it, though an informal system is in place. The company flatly refused to agree on the number of remote days beforehand or include it in the contract or job offer. This is crucial, especially given employee reviews warning to negotiate upfront. Basically, a loss on all fronts. My discussions with the recruiter about this offer were unpleasant. He even went as far as saying that internally at GIFI, they found me 'difficult' because I wanted to negotiate for the best possible package formally and clearly, given the huge gap between their offer and the market. It felt like you'd have to be desperate to accept.
- Do you experience highs and lows?
- What is your age?
- What is your family situation?
