First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Giddens Nation.
Supervising Agent
The interview process made me excited to start. It kicked off with a phone interview and then moved to a professional Zoom interview with nice and smart team members. The hiring team kept me in the loop throughout, which was great. It gave me a good sense of the company's cool culture, and I'm eager to help out.
- Can you explain why you believe you're a good fit for this position?
Supervisor
First, you'll watch a company overview video that's super informative. Then, there's a 1on1 chat with a senior manager to ask about the video. Finally, you'll have a sit-down with a regional/state director to see if it's a good match for both you and the job.
- How can you positively impact the company?
Human Resources Manager
They advertised an HR position, but it turned out to be a commission-based insurance sales job, which was not what I was looking for. Many applicants were present. I informed the interviewer about my interest in the HR role and my lack of interest in commission-based work. He confirmed no HR position was available and then escorted me out through a side door, avoiding the other waiting candidates. There were several employees making appointments, likely their main task, and I doubt they are well-compensated. It's advisable not to waste time or resources if you seek a salaried position, as they don't seem to exist here.
- The interviewer told me to relax, and our conversation ended quickly after I stated I was not interested in a commission-only position.
Benefits Coordinator
It was a multi step process. The initial phone call and then three interviews. The first two interviews were to learn about how the company worked and to make sure my self as a person was comfortable going through with this step in my career path. The third interview gave me the real chance to talk to a management person and ask questions and get a feel for what I was about to go into. I truly loved how this interview process went!
