Consultant
we had one on ones with the recruiting team, then a case study with a consultant, followed by a 4-hour deep dive into my career, and then i got to speak with all the firm leadership and other consultants in my region before accepting an offer
- Tell me about your proudest accomplishment in your previous role.
Principal Consultant
It's a structured and thoughtful interview process with 4 main stages: screening, a case study with debrief, an in-depth assessment, and reference checks. It might seem long, but it's designed to find highly motivated A players who fit both skills and culture. Since hires get a lot of freedom in their daily work, it's important to select the right people. The entire process is about mutual discovery. You'll get to talk to many firm members to ask questions and understand the work and culture better. The assessment interview is long (around 5 hours), but it's more of a structured conversation about your career highlights, including achievements, things you'd change, and work relationships, rather than being strictly 'difficult'.
- Can you share your proudest achievement from this period of your career? What would you have done differently?
- Tell me about your previous boss and what they would say about you.
Consultant
First, there was a recruiter screening, then a case study, and finally a four hour SmartAssessment. They let me know what to expect, and it was a great overall experience. It really felt like a preview of the actual job, which was super helpful.
- What were the good and bad parts of this experience?
