Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was multi-round, but notably, there was no project required, which is a positive in today's market given the time commitment of interviews. While the interviewers were generally pleasant, there was an impression of team burnout or a lack of cohesion. It was unusual to only meet with leaders and not potential teammates, which felt like a missed opportunity to assess collaboration and seemed redundant at times. The company, Get Well, is smaller but operates with an older, slower structure similar to a larger corporation, which could be viewed either positively or negatively. A significant drawback was the compensation, which was considerably below market rates for similar roles in the industry; while company culture can sometimes justify a lower salary, it didn't in this instance. There was also a lack of a standout individual who made the candidate eager to work with them, which typically influences the decision to accept an offer. The most frustrating aspect was the delayed feedback; interviews were conducted close together, creating momentum, but it took a month to receive a decision, by which time any strong candidate would likely have lost interest and moved on. This lengthy delay reflects poorly on the company, suggesting either an inability to make timely decisions, a prolonged offer acceptance from another candidate (implying the current candidate wasn't a top choice), or a disconnect within the team preventing a swift decision. Regardless of the reason, if an offer had been extended, it would have been declined. While wishing the organization success, significant improvements are needed in their hiring process.

Behavioral

It was a pretty simple process. Started with a call with HR. Then had a virtual interview with the hiring manager and two other people on the team who are above me. It was chill, and they let me ask questions too. They asked me about my background, what I knew about the job and company, and why I'd be a good fit.

First, there was a really quick recruiter call to see if I was interested. Then, about a week later, I was invited for an in-person interview that lasted 3 hours. It involved 5 separate chats with people on the team and their managers. It felt like they asked the same things in each chat, not much coordination. Everyone was nice though, but it could have been smoother. Like, HR kept me waiting in the lobby for 15 minutes, and there was a lot of downtime and moving around between chats. Oh, and parking was tough, make sure you have quarters for the meters.

Behavioral Technical

Applied in September, then connected with someone on LinkedIn who had my resume ready. The recruiter called the next week. I spoke with 7 different people over 3 months via phone. Each interview day generally had 3 people, with two 30-minute chats and one 1-hour talk, totaling about 2 hours. Most interviewers were folks I'd be working with. The final interview was with the VP, who was overbooked and had to reschedule the conversation, cutting it short initially. It seemed like each person I talked to had their own take on what this role should entail, and they made that pretty clear.
