Videographer
I heard back about my application pretty quickly, with a phone interview happening about two days after applying. Then, it was radio silence for about two weeks regarding any updates on my application.

Graphic Designer
It started with a phone interview. Then they asked me to resubmit my resume, which I did. A day later, I was messaged that after internal review, they'd like to move forward in their participation process. The email had a Graphic Design Prompt and said it was optional, but gave insights into fitting their team. I took this to mean 'highly encouraged'. They also stated the prompt submission was needed within 3 business days. That was my first red flag. I decided to do the creative test prompt anyway. It was extensive for a test. It had two prompts, some requiring multiple components. I finished and submitted it. As a seasoned designer, my portfolio is enough, but I wanted to show I was serious. That was my mistake. After submitting the brief, there was radio silence. Three days later, I got a response saying I wasn't a good fit. I'm a senior level graphic designer. The work was great, and my colleagues were impressed. Based on this, I'm not interested in Get Engaged Media. They could have at least compensated me for my time. It's a slap in the face for a professional. I have a job, and working on it outside work hours was inconvenient.
- They asked about my experience level.
- They inquired if I would be comfortable working on-site.
Account Manager
I had a 20-minute phone call with a hiring manager, they were nice but didn't share much info. Right after, I was asked to do an assessment which was a whole campaign idea and roll-out for a current client. I was surprised by such a direct request so early on, so I asked about the salary. They only gave me a range of 70 - 90k. Given my experience, I said I'd only take the higher end and would still do the assessment if they could be more specific on the salary. They ghosted me after that. Important note: don't do any free work until you know the salary they're offering!
- How do you think your experience translates to this role?
Intern
It was a quick interview process. I got the internship, but I decided to take another internship. It seemed like a good company. They work with cool clients and companies.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
