First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gesture.
Manual QA Engineer
Had an initial screening chat, then did a coding assessment for a manual QA job (which I thought was odd). Never heard back after sending it in. Not much else to share.
- Coding assessment to complete as a take-home assignment
Backend Developer
They asked basic and general questions because it was an internship position. They seemed to be checking for cultural fit, personality, and actual coding experience, without going too deep into technology.
- How do you build things?
- Tell me about a time you solved a tough problem.
Intern
The interview process was pretty straightforward. It was conducted over Google Meet, and there was just one interview for this internship. They gave me a detailed job description and a quick rundown of the company and what they do during the interview.
- What makes you interested in interning with us?
- Can you explain how your educational background aligns with the requirements of this role?
Product Marketing Manager
I had a 15-minute phone chat, then a 30-minute virtual meeting with the Hiring Manager. There might be an informal in-person chat later for cultural fit. I got to ask a lot of good questions during the second interview. They were actually looking for an intern but seemed to need more senior folks.
- What draws you to a career in Product Marketing Management?
