Behavioral Technical Presentation

I interviewed with Gersh Autism. First was with the VP of HR, then the Chief of Staff, both went well. The third interview at 7:30 am with the CEO and COO was very chaotic because they weren't prepared, didn't have my resume, and didn't know what role they were hiring for. They'd ask a question, then get distracted by other people in the room and not listen to my answers. The CEO was confrontational and they seemed more interested in whether I'd bend the rules to the limit. The next interview with the VP of Development was good. The final interview was with the person currently in the role, who gave a very negative review of the company and its people, and convinced me not to work there.

I was told to come in for a teacher assistant position, but when I got there, the interviewer said there were no such jobs, only para jobs which pay less. I'm looking for a job to make money, not volunteer. They said I didn't seem really interested in being a "Para." I felt mislead and shocked that the position I came for didn't exist. After driving and filling out an application, I was told I didn't seem into the para position. It's hard enough to look for jobs, and I felt vulnerable and that the interviewer took advantage of that.

Behavioral Presentation Other

The interview process was multi-step and included a tour of the school, meeting with the director, the office staff and Mr. Gersh. At times it was a bit unconventional with the waiting and the line of questioning. There was a lot of discussion about the history of the organization, the owner's personal experiences and ADHD. Everyone was very friendly and it was a very comfortable semi-casual environment.

So I applied and then got an email to set up a phone interview. That call was about my experience. Then I had a Zoom interview where they asked about my experience again, why I wanted the job, and my availability.
