Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Georgia Tech Research Institute.
Software Engineer Intern
So there were 2 rounds in total. The first one was a behavioral interview, which was pretty chill, I talked with a nice lady, and we mostly went over my resume. The second round was technical. I definitely studied more for that one. My advice is just practice easy to medium LeetCode problems.
- Can you create a function that accepts start, end, and step as parameters?
- Write code to sum up all the numbers in a given array.
Software Engineer
It was a pretty short interview process overall. Started with a phone call, then an in-person interview (though you could do it remotely). Got the offer about a month after finishing the interviews.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- What made you apply for this particular role?
- Do you have any frontend development experience? If so, could you elaborate?
Software Engineer
The interview process involved a pair programming session using C++, where the task was to identify and fix errors. Following this technical part, there was a behavioral component. This was the only interview round after the phone screening, which I didn't receive. Two interviewers were present, but one conducted most of the interview.
- Can you self-assess your C++ proficiency?
