The interview process was pretty standard. It involved a few interviews, starting with an initial phone chat. Then there was an on-campus interview where I met with the hiring committee. After that, I had another on-campus interview with the dean. The campus visit included a tour and opportunities to chat with committee members and administrators.

So the interview process had two main parts. First, there was a virtual panel interview. Then, the second part was an in-person visit to the campus. This included meeting with the search committee panel, giving a virtual campus-wide presentation to the President’s cabinet and everyone on campus, touring the Rome and Cartersville campuses, and meeting with senior leadership.

The interview process at this institution was lengthy. It began with a phone interview with the search committee, followed by an in-person interview with the same committee. Then, there was a one-on-one interview with a seemingly disillusioned employee. The interview day itself was online, lasting a couple of hours, and included a campus tour. A week later, I received a call informing me I didn't get the job because 'the person had wanted to work at GHC longer' and 'the person knew someone higher up.' This experience, mirroring a previous one at this institution, leads me to believe there's significant cronyism and favoritism within the organization. I advise against wasting your time here.

I had a phone interview where there were about 5 people on the line. Then I had two in-person interviews with just the dean. After that, I got an offer. They've hired a director since then, so she would probably do the 1:1 interviews now. She's really friendly and way less intimidating than the dean I interviewed with. That dean has left now, and all the deans are really nice these days.
