First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Genomic Health.
Regional Medical Director
I had an in-person interview at the company's headquarters with several employees, including the Chief Medical Officer, regional medical director, marketing director, medical communications director, regional commercial director, and medical area directors, among others.
- Could you share a successful case from your previous role?
SAT
Had a phone screening and met all the requirements. Then there was a follow-up email with an HR person to set up the interview. After that, I had a 3-hour interview with 4-5 people. The company was accommodating, but one interviewer was very brief and blunt, with no expression. It felt like she didn't care and thought I was wasting her time. They seem to want someone who can do the job well and minimize human error. The company itself is great, and the role was presented well, but the supervisor was unfriendly.
- How effectively do you collaborate with colleagues?
- What prompts your departure from your present role?
- Could you elaborate on the circumstances of your separation from your prior employer?
Administrative Assistant
So, I applied and they had my resume from the first time I applied. The recruiter emailed me. I did a phone interview the first time and they wanted to schedule an on-site interview. I gave them my availability and followed up multiple times, but then two weeks later, they emailed saying the position was filled. The second time, I did a phone interview and never heard back after following up several times via email. So unprofessional, I would never consider this company.
- Can you tell me about your skills?
Commercial Training Director
The interview process was straightforward. It began with a phone screen conducted by the corporate recruiter. Following that, there were two live, in-person panel interview sessions. Some interviews were conducted over the phone, while others were in person. A significant number of people were involved in the process. They seemed overly focused on the limited resources available, and I wasn't convinced that training was a priority for the organization.
