The interview started with a typical initial phone screening. Then there was a one-way interview where I had to record myself answering some questions for later review. The last interview was the final one. This final interview was really unpleasant. They didn't bother with introductions and just started with the first question. It felt really unwelcoming and that immediately put me off.

I was interviewing for an IT role. After I was hired, I was assigned to a group I didn't know and had no prior interest in, despite my 20+ years in IT. This was a mistake on my part for staying longer than I was obligated, as GM generally expects you to stay in a role for about a year unless there are documented discussions otherwise. If you find yourself in a dead-end role or one you dislike, start building connections with people in other departments and look for opportunities to move to projects or teams that align better with your interests when the time is right.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Tell me about a time you dealt with a challenging coworker and how you resolved the situation. (Note: GM uses Lominger Competencies, so research them!)

It was a really good experience. First, there were team activities, and then individual interviews. Initially, they gave us a presentation about the different areas where we could apply for an internship. Afterward, we were given a case to solve in teams and then present. Finally, those selected could have an individual interview with the areas that interested them. Everyone was very friendly.
