I applied at a job fair and then had a followup interview about a week later. It was a standard entry-level engineering/morals interview and they gauged my strengths before a virtual followup with 4 other departments. They usually give candidates lunch while they rotate through departments, but this was right after quarantine started.

The interview process was quite straightforward. I had three distinct interviews with different departments on the same day. It began with a tour of the shipyard, after which we traveled to New London, CT. Upon arrival, I was met by the manager who conducted the first interview. This initial interview consisted of typical resume-based questions and was not technical in nature. Following that, I was taken to my next interview, which included a lunch meeting with a representative from that department. After completing the final interview post-lunch, we were transported back to the HR building. All interactions were pleasant, making for a positive overall experience.

The company put me up in a hotel the night before my interview. When I got there, they gave me a folder with all the info I'd need about the interview. There were other people there interviewing for different jobs, and I heard some of them got lunch vouchers but I didn't. We all took a tour of the shipyard. After that, I had to drive to another building for my specific interview. The person I was supposed to meet with only stayed for about 5 minutes before leaving, so two other people interviewed me, but they didn't have any say in the hiring decision. The interview itself lasted about an hour. Afterwards, I went back to the HR office and was free to leave. The whole thing took about 3 hours.
