Had a simple phone interview first, very classic. Next was supposed to be an in person panel interview with 3 purchasing managers but they rescheduled last minute. Once I got the new confirmation, only 1 of the 3 people were going to interview me so I asked them to reschedule when everyone was available. I was told “oh everyone will be there” and it was a video interview instead. Okay no problem except when I joined the interview on Teams, only 2 people ever showed up. 3rd person was nowhere to be found and I never got an explanation. Also I was the only one who had my camera on which was odd since this video interview was a replacement for an in person interview. I would have liked to talk to a face instead of a screen. Not to mention one guy was coming back from a dentist appointment and he clearly wasn’t listening to me very well. He “clarified” that the correct answer to a question he asked was to “talk to your manager”. That was one of the first things I said. Also why are we asking that question? We’re all professionals, of course I’ll be talking with my manager. Then they called me back and offered me 10k lower than my min salary requirement because they felt I wasn’t worth the amount I asked for. Hard pass. Didn’t even counter offer.

Had an easy phone call with the director of purchasing. Then, I had a video interview with 4 managers at the same time. It felt like a group of older folks, but they seem to pay well for full-time roles after undergrad. It felt like they were trying to sell me on the company.

It starts with a personality quiz, then you have two in-person interviews on the same day. The first is with HR to go over benefits and your health, and the second is with a group of the managers for the job you're applying for. It's about 1.5 hours total, and everyone is super friendly, which makes it easy to chill. After that, they do a background check.
