It started with a recruiter call to talk about company culture and ask a couple of behavioral questions. Then, I met with the hiring manager for some technical panels. There were a lot of behavioral/situational questions throughout. The interview was onsite, though some panel members joined virtually.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process included one behavioral interview where we talked about the position, location, and team culture. I was asked to share a quick overview of my previous work and my reasons for seeking a new role or being interested in this specific opportunity. Then, there was a technical interview focused on MLOps concepts, which involved a presentation I had prepared about a past project. This part also included questions about potential improvements to the project and deeper considerations. Finally, I had a short interview with the Hiring Manager to discuss the team dynamics, cultural alignment, and job expectations.

I applied for the role with a referral, and I'd previously interned at the company. The hiring manager contacted me and set up a phone screen, which I thought went really well. I followed up and was told they needed another week to set up panel interviews, but then I heard nothing. Four weeks later, I got an automated rejection. I'm pretty bummed about the long wait and no feedback.
