Behavioral Technical Group

It was a 5 round interview process: first a recruiter call, then a manager chat, followed by a technical team interview, and then another manager chat. It was all virtual meetings. No onsite visits. Each interview was between 30 mins to 1 hour. There was a Q and A panel at the end.

Behavioral Technical

I had a phone interview with an engineer. The interviewer seemed unqualified, which was unexpected from Genentech. By the end of it, I wasn't interested in the role anymore and decided to stay at my current job. I'm not applying to Genentech right now.

Behavioral Technical

It begins with a chat with the hiring manager where they ask a lot of technical and general 'vibe check' questions. If you make it past that stage and are in the top 3 candidates, they'll invite you for a whole day of interviews, which includes 6 separate interviews, some in a panel format, and even a lunch interview. There was some delay between my phone screen and the in-person interviews because the team ended up changing the job description and the title of the role.

  • What led to your departure from your previous role?
