Phone interview first, then an online assessment and after that another hour and half long phone interview which went great. The recruiter told me how I was the perfect candidate, right fit for the job and in fact wanted to set me up for the last step - the in person interview. I was promised to hear back from them within a couple days with the available appointments for the next step in the hiring process. Instead, I received an auto generated email saying I wasn’t in the run for the position anymore a few days later. Highly confused I emailed the recruiter to ask what was going on but I haven’t received any answer. Practices like these tell a lot about the allover company practices and how they treat their employees. If you at least gave me an explanation, but leaving me in the dark in such uncertainty and not providing feedback on how a candidate could improve after such a long hiring process or even what went wrong after all being called “the perfect candidate and great fit for the position” is just simply rude.

I was initially contacted at a virtual career fair, and then an email followed up for a phone interview. This first interview was quite basic, mostly for them to go over my resume and ask about my willingness to relocate and my general interest in the role. After that, I got an email with an invite to do a webcam interview. It wasn't really a traditional interview, though, as no one was there live. You'd see a question, have a minute to read it, and then 3 minutes to record your answer. The questions were behavioral, nothing too complex, but the experience was a bit strange, even for someone used to webinars, because it was a single-take video response. I didn't move forward after that.

The application stage required a resume, cover letter, and an extra document for reference. The interview process itself was half technical and half practical, consisting of three rounds. They flew me in for the final round. The interviewers on the other side included two people in the first round, then four in the second, and finally two in the last round.
