Technical

After doing unpaid training, I had to chase the company for days. Even though I sent multiple emails asking for confirmation and the link for the 4-hour technical test (scheduled for Monday at 10:00 AM), I only got senseless automatic replies or absolute silence. I had explicitly asked for confirmation by Saturday to manage my work commitments, but they ignored every reminder. The Zoom link was sent only on Monday morning at 09:31 AM, just 29 minutes before the start. Disrespectful behavior and amateurish candidate management.

Behavioral Technical

The hiring team took over two weeks to get back to me. When they finally made contact, there were technical difficulties, and they couldn't hear me. After I sent several emails, they arranged another call. When I finally had a proper call for the language test, the recruiter hurried me through it without explaining the evaluation process. Shortly after the language test, the assessor called back just 15 minutes later to state I failed a basic test despite having a fluent conversation. She rejected me without any explanation of why or how the evaluation was conducted. It appears that both recruiters and assessors lack enthusiasm and are rushing through the process. There's a lack of clear communication and genuine interest, suggesting they just want to finish quickly. I also suspect my Spanish accent, despite being a native speaker and having a Master's degree from the UK, 12 years of B2C sales experience back home, B2B sales experience with British companies, and prior call center experience, might have been the reason for rejection, not my English. This has been one of the most unprofessional hiring processes I've experienced, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Technical Presentation

The hiring journey was challenging, involving two initial tests followed by another assessment with the quality control manager. Despite performing well on the tests, I didn't pass the mock interview. However, I was given a second opportunity to prove myself, which ultimately led to me getting the job.

The interview happened on the phone. We started by speaking English, and then we transitioned to my native language. This was a language assessment to check my fluency in both. They mentioned they'd review my performance and reach out. I got the approval for the next step the following day.
