Recruiter reached out about a controller role, thought my aeronautics and controller experience was a good match. He mentioned a strong relationship with the CFO. I then met with the CFO for about two hours, which was a very positive conversation. The recruiter shared that the feedback was 'very good' and that he'd inform me of the next steps. About a month later, I was invited for a peer interview with a financial analyst. This person was quite aggressive and seemed to aim at making me feel inferior, mostly talking at me rather than engaging in a conversation. The interview felt pointless, lacking substantial questions, and despite the long travel time, it was short. The recruiter continued to send messages about the job for a couple of months, but I never received an update. I later found out the position was filled. It was frustrating to have turned down other offers during this period without any notification about their decision. Ghosting candidates after they've invested time is unprofessional.

telephonic interview session with one week off scheduled date. general background questions with questions. Received a call/email asking for an interview, conducted with the director and worker of the department I applied for, the interview was about 20 minutes long and only covered what was on my resume.

The interview process was frustrating and weird. I'm not sure if my experience is normal or if it was a fluke, which is why I'm submitting this review. I applied on a Wednesday and got an email from HR that same afternoon asking about an interview for the next day. I said yes and asked about the time and format. They gave me a morning time but didn't specify in-person or phone, so I figured it was an HR screening call and confirmed. Turns out, it wasn't. HR emailed me late that night (around 10:30 p.m., after I'd gone to bed) saying the hiring manager wanted to meet in person. When I saw the email the next morning, I had to rush to get ready. About five minutes into the interview, it seemed obvious to both the hiring manager and me that I wasn't a good fit, something an HR screening call could have caught. Honestly, I don't know if they meant to bring in someone else, or if HR just messed up the name, or what. The hiring manager seemed unprepared, not having my resume, though I thankfully brought a hard copy. I sent a thank you email to the hiring manager afterward, but never heard back from her or HR. They haven't officially rejected me, but since it's been a month since the interview and no response to my thank you note, I'm pretty sure I won't get the job offer.

I met some people from GDC at a career fair a while back in Aug 2017. After I graduated, I applied for a job in July 2018 and they invited me for an interview. When I got there, the interviewer was actually one of the people I met earlier, and he remembered me. It was a super casual chat about my school experiences and my current job.
