First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GCI.
Legal Counsel
I applied through the recruitment agency QED Legal and had an initial call with Anna, the Head of Legal. After that, I interviewed with Anna, a consultant legal person whose role I would be taking over, and the COO. Anna was great, and I was really excited about the prospect of working with her. Ultimately, though, I think she made a decision based on what she felt was best, and I truly hope she's doing well!
- What fruit would you be and why?
NOC Engineer
It was a great experience. First, I spoke with a recruiter to see what kind of person I am and why I wanted to join GCI. After that, I had a video interview over Microsoft Teams, which was a really good and stress-free experience. Then, I had one more in-person interview before they offered me the job.
- What makes you want to work for GCI?
- Can you explain what NAT is?
- Describe how you'd manage a problem you're unsure how to fix.
Business Development Manager
The interview process was very well organised and communicated. First, I spoke with the recruitment team about suitable roles. Then, I met with two directors from the Sales Management team I would report to within a week. After that, I had a third and final interview with a C-Level director the following week. I was notified of the outcome shortly after, and received an offer a couple of working days later. The process was managed well and I was kept updated regularly.
- Can you share an instance of a client you personally identified and successfully brought on board?
Software Engineer
The interview process has just two steps. First, there's an HR call where they ask regular questions. Then, you meet the hiring manager. The technical part involves asking about binary code and some AI algorithm questions, plus some questions about security, Snik, Terraform, and AWS.
- How do you act when you find yourself in a difficult situation?
