Job Fair, Not for the weak! posted from 9am-5pm, my friends that work in hotels recommended we get there early because they knew the line would get super long compared to what had happened at the previous job fair. Got there at 8am and as we expected there was already about 150 people in line. They opened the doors at 9am and check in and interviews began. There was a 2nd interview for Part Time and a 3rd interview for Full time only it seemed. 1st Interview started with basic questions, "tell me about yourself" and "why here?" 2nd interview got into more depth asking how you would handle certain situations and what makes you stand out. 3rd interview was more in depth about those questions and more about why you wanted to be there. Felt more like a good conversation over an interview. I was there from 8am to 6pm just because they have so many people interested in the job and for good reason, so make sure and have nothing else planned for the day. I was told that they would love to have me be apart of the team and I should receive a call in the next few days, so I think that's a good sign?

It was a good experience. You need to be aware of your daily tasks because the interviewer will gauge your enthusiasm through your responses. Maintain a positive demeanor and self-assurance. The initial impression is indeed crucial!

So, this interview process started with an online personality test, then a recruiter call where we talked about my background and what I wanted salary-wise. After that, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. Then, there was this long silence for about a month. Finally, I got instructions for a timed skills test that took 3 hours. I did it the same night. Two weeks went by with no word, and then they asked if I was free for an in-person interview. A week after I gave them my availability, the recruiter called to say their maximum salary offer was over $20,000 less than what I'm currently making. This was a bit of a shock since they knew my salary from the start. I told the recruiter my lower salary expectations so they could talk to the hiring managers. Over three weeks later, I had to follow up with the recruiter, and that's when I got an automated email saying I was no longer being considered, thanking me for my 'time and effort in applying.' Honestly, it was almost three months of this whole thing, and they could have just been straight about the salary upfront.

The process was very professional and informative, and the interviewer covered a lot of ground quickly. After arriving, I went to the front desk as instructed in the email and was then taken to the interview room. I was offered refreshments while I waited.
