It was a really good interview experience. The recruiter was attentive, friendly, and very professional, which made me feel comfortable throughout. Initially, there were simple questions to break the ice, and then it moved to slightly more complex questions related to the role, but nothing too difficult to answer.

Overall the interviews were great, the people were friendly and transparent. They felt more like they already thought you were qualified and wanted you on the team, just making sure you fit the specific client team they have in mind. They also need to buy time for the background check to process, to make sure you are a good person with no criminal baggage. This background process took much longer than all other portions of the app and interviewing, but some was likely due to company admin changes. Another weird aspect was a surprise video interview after the background checks that tests your ability to act under pressure. You are doing recorded visual memorization tests, answering scenario questions, normal interview questions, etc. randomly on a timer and then they will interrupt you throughout this two hour process with a live person to ask follow up questions/challenge your answers. Once I realized they must not care about your answers but more how you handle this "stress" it was a lot easier and kind of fun. But a little unnecessary so late in the process since it took so long.

I got this message on LinkedIn and scheduled a call with the recruiter. I wasn't really looking for a job at the time but thought I'd see what they had to offer in case it was a good move for my career. About 10 minutes into the call, I still wasn't sure if I wanted to work there, but the recruiter really pushed me to set up an in-person interview. The recruiter ended up canceling the interview the business day before because of issues with their room bookings (I was also feeling a bit sick). They didn't reach out to reschedule, so I had to email them. Once I did, they quickly rescheduled. When you get there, make sure to arrive 10-15 minutes early to find parking because they don't offer parking in their own lot and suggest street parking. Be careful, though, as some streets have parking restrictions on Tuesday mornings. When I got there, I met with the head of the department, who clearly hadn't even looked at my resume or knew I was a passive candidate. When she realized I wasn't actively looking for a new job but was just exploring, she switched into a hard sell. Before she left, she mentioned they wanted to schedule a follow-up call so I could ask questions. The original recruiter then came back and just let me ask questions for a whole hour, which I appreciated given how the rest of the experience went. My interest actually grew after talking with this recruiter. He promised to schedule a call for me and even sent the application before I got home. Since I'm really busy with my current job and wasn't actively searching, I took about a week to fill it out (it's way too long, takes about an hour). I followed up with the recruiter, and to my surprise, he went completely silent, even though he was so pushy before. I followed up weekly for three weeks and heard nothing. It was super disappointing because he and his manager promised things they couldn't deliver (like scheduling a second call and saying I was their top candidate), which made me realize how important it is to keep my own promises to the candidates I recruit. My takeaway is that this place, despite its fancy appearance, isn't worth it. If they can't handle something simple like scheduling a call or moving forward with an application, they probably can't handle bigger things that impact your job and well-being (like promotions or salary increases). It's a shame because I would have referred some contacts if I had been treated better during the process.

Group Technical

The interview process was a 3-day group interview with multiple candidates. We underwent several tests, and I was told I passed them all. During the tests, some candidates failed but were given more chances to pass. On the second to last day, we had a drug test and then lunch. Afterwards, we were introduced to time cards. Some people were then called out and dismissed without knowing why. I was then told by an interviewer that I didn't make it because it wasn't a 'good fit,' despite passing all tests. The interviewer didn't provide a clear reason, unlike the other candidates who were dismissed and had failed the tests. The process felt like a waste of time, especially with the false impression of being hired, the long travel, and the dismissals after the lunch. This is unlike law enforcement hiring, where disqualifications are usually immediate and reasons are given.
