I talked with a recruiter at a job fair and then had a quick phone chat a few weeks later. They flew me to Omaha and put me up in a nice hotel. That evening, some people from corporate took all of us interviewing out for dinner. The next day, we went to the corporate office and started by sitting in on a meeting. Then, I was in a room for 2 hours with interviewers rotating through. I had 4 interviews, each lasting half an hour. They were really friendly and down-to-earth, so I wasn't worried about any of those standard tough interview questions. After the interviews, we got to see the trading floor for about 30 minutes. To wrap things up, we had lunch in their dining room before heading home.

The first step was a phone interview to go over basic stuff. I think it's mostly to check if you're a normal person who can chat well, since you'll be on the phone a lot. This call is probably with someone from HR. If you get past that, they'll have you come to their main office for interviews with different managers and grain merchandisers. That's pretty much the whole deal, nothing too crazy or unusual, which is good. The interviewers are just regular people, but the intense look of the trade floor might seem a bit intimidating to some.

Had an initial phone interview where they asked what I was looking for and why I applied, which lasted about 30 minutes. Then, I went in person for the next round. I met with two Operations managers, a trader, and an HR representative, each for about 30 minutes. The whole thing took around 3 hours. All questions were related to the job, but definitely bring your own questions to ask them.

It was a decent interview process. There's a clear disconnect between what headquarters wants and what the regional offices are looking for, and that gap needs to be addressed. The interview with the regional office went really well, and I was confident I'd get an offer. However, it turns out that headquarters and regional offices have very different expectations.
