First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center.
Psychiatric Technician
It was not bad at all, you just need to be honest and show your willingness to learn and help out. It's a great place to start and stay. I want to say they called after about a week or two to schedule an in person interview.
- Do you have any concerns about working in this particular unit?
Occupational Therapist
The interview heavily focused on negative experiences from past roles, asking about dislikes, instances of frustration and anger, and difficulties with colleagues, rather than any positive aspects.
- What did you dislike about your previous job?
Secretary
So first, you gotta apply for the job you want. If they pick you for a test, you'll come in and take it. Pass that, and then you get an interview. After that, you fill out a form. Then, you have to get a doctor to examine you and say you're good for the job. You also gotta make sure you haven't done any crimes with the federal state. If all that checks out, HR will give you your position.
- Who is the president?
Paraprofessional Counselor
First you apply online, then you wait (several months). Then you receive an email from the direct supervisor, schedule an interview, and wait again. HR will contact you next, then there is fingerprinting, background check, drug test, and physical. Once that is done, you wait. Once you are hired you must complete "shadowing" hours.
- Could you share some examples of how you have responded to particular situations?
- In specific scenarios, how would you handle them?
