Behavioral Technical

It was a really friendly and laid-back interview, more like a chat. They asked some interesting questions that let me show off my past successes, my technical abilities, and my soft skills. They asked about 2-3 behavioral questions, like 'tell me about a time,' to check my leadership, how I manage my time, communicate, and work with others.

Behavioral Other

It started with a phone call to schedule the interview. The first interview was in person with HR and the CEO. The second interview was also in person with HR and Operations. Both interviews were mostly about getting to know me as a person. I felt like they prioritized personality fit over specific skills, which I think is good. They wanted to understand me as an individual and what kind of worker I am. During the second interview, they suggested that accepting a lower base salary would be acceptable because the quarterly bonus could potentially make up the difference in compensation, but that arrangement didn't suit my needs.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied through the company website, submitting my resume and a general cover letter about my experience, skills, education, and credentials. I got a call back for a telephone screening. Then I had a face-to-face interview, first with HR, then with the CEO. It all seemed to go well. About a week later, the CEO called me with a verbal proposal, not a formal offer. He said they wanted to offer me the job but at 75% of my current salary. He then launched into this detailed example of how I could potentially make my current salary again, but no more. The proposal was basically that if I accepted the lower base salary, worked at least 60 hours a week (making me hourly), and IF I managed to get some bonuses (which were tied to company performance, not anything I could control), I might be able to match my current salary. I immediately rejected this 'proposal' because it seemed ridiculous to work 50% more for the same pay, with uncertain bonuses. I've always heard bad things about this company, and this experience confirmed it.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process involved a phone interview and then an onsite interview, but I wasn't called for a third round. It took way longer than it should have. My issue was they called my voicemail and told me to call them back, but when I did, they never responded, so basically, I was ghosted after my round 2 interview.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Basic questions about my experience were asked during the initial phone screening.
  • Then, technical questions related to my background were presented.
