First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gates Hudson.
Leasing Consultant
The interview was pretty quick and I felt comfortable throughout. It was a thorough interview where they addressed all my questions and any concerns I had. The person interviewing me seemed to know a lot about the things I was worried about coming into it.
- Why did you decide to come back to work after being an entrepreneur?
Leasing Consultant
I applied online and the next day the property manager called me for a 1:1 interview. The day after, I went in for an interview with a leasing consultant. They asked me basic questions and explained the job in more detail. I was supposed to interview with two other people, a leasing consultant and the head concierge, but they weren't ready or able to talk. I was told the property manager would call me for a second interview, but after following up many times via email and phone, I never heard back. I would have understood if they chose someone else, but the terrible lack of professionalism and communication makes me glad I didn't end up working there.
- What are some common interview questions you might ask?
- Tell me about yourself.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Accounts Payable Specialist
An outside recruiter recommended me for this job. After I talked with the recruiter, I went to HQ for a formal interview and met three people from the accounting department. It was a pretty chill environment, not intimidating. Everyone I met was super nice and explained the job really well, so I didn't really have any questions.
- How have you handled NOIs?
Leasing Consultant
It was a simple interview process when the management company was sold and we took over the community. The Regional manager interviewed us in our office. They asked how we felt about the community and our experience with it, then offered us a position with the new company.
- Tell me about your experience.
- What are your salary requirements?
