I interviewed with Gartner twice for two different software engineering roles. During my initial interview for the second role, I spoke with the same recruiter I had met during my first application. Both experiences were pretty underwhelming. In the first call kept their camera off the entire time, and the conversation only lasted about ten minutes. It felt rushed and a bit impersonal. When I applied again for a different role a few months later, I had a similar experience where the recruiter didn’t seem very engaged or interested in the conversation.

After passing the online assessment, there were 4 subsequent rounds. Out of these, 2 were HR rounds and 2 were technical rounds. Unfortunately, I was eliminated during the second HR round. The technical rounds seemed quite varied; some candidates were exclusively questioned about their resume, while others faced a mix of resume-based and Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) problems.

Technical Behavioral

I went through 2 rounds of interviews. The first was a technical interview, and the second was a managerial round. I got a really positive response from both, but then there was silence. I tried to reach out to HR, and they sent me an email saying I had withdrawn my application, which wasn't true. After another week of trying to get in touch, the HR person told me to disregard the withdrawal status because they had put it there themselves. They ended up hiring someone else who could start sooner, but they made it look like I withdrew my own application. I really didn't expect that from such a reputable company.
