So the whole process starts with a quick 20-30 min chat with the recruiter, just to go over the company, the job, and your background. Then, there's a one-hour phone interview where they'll want to know what you know about Gartner, the role, and ask you some competency questions based on Gartner's 4 traits, which they'll explain. After that, you'll have a WebEx interview with two hiring managers, and it's pretty similar to the last one. The final step is an in-person panel interview. This one involves a presentation you've prepared beforehand, a web demo, and a few more competency questions. They were all super helpful and nice, and it felt like they wanted to help you get through it, not trick you.

This interview process is pretty long, so you'll need to be patient. I did 3 phone interviews and then an in-person interview. The in-person part involved a 30-minute shadow, a 15-minute presentation with a 30-minute Q&A, and a 10-minute role-play phone call. They give you feedback as you go, so definitely ask for it after each step. The first interview was super basic with a recruiter, focusing on behavioral questions using the STAR method. They told me if I was moving on right after. The second interview was also with a recruiter, digging deeper into behavioral questions. I found out I was moving forward again right after. The third interview was with two hiring managers, who went a bit deeper and asked follow-up questions on my previous answers. I heard back within 3 days about moving forward. The fourth interview was on-site, and they handled all the travel and arrangements. It started with meeting a current client partner for 30 minutes, then I presented to two managers and my recruiter, and finally did a mock phone call role-play with one of the managers. I got the job offer two days later. My main advice is to ask for feedback after every single call and at the end of your presentation and role-play. Take notes on that feedback and use it for the next steps. About 99% of this interview is answering behavioral questions using STAR. Look up common questions on GlassDoor, write them down, and prepare 1-2 answers for each. It's fine to reuse examples, just be consistent and aware that interviewers might share your examples with others. They're looking for proof of being a top performer (numbers and metrics are great!), how collaborative you are, and overall professionalism. Everyone at Gartner was really nice and seemed genuinely invested in helping candidates succeed. If you do the work and are prepared, you'll be fine if you're a good fit.

I was contacted by a recruiter, then had a phone pre-interview with HR to get more info about the job. A week later, I had a first interview with basic questions about me and more info about the job and company. Then came a first stage interview with questions I could prepare for, mostly about my education and work experience. Up to this point, all interviews were phone calls with HR. Again, a week later, the second stage interview was with a possible colleague and manager. A lot of similar questions as before. The recruiter prepared very well. Unfortunately, it was not the perfect fit for me. At the end of the interview, I was told I'd get info about the last stage or the outcome. I never received any mail, call, or message. I tried to contact them but got no response. Very disappointing.
