I submitted my application online through the Oh My Green website and a few days later, I got an email to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was pretty standard, lasting about 30 minutes with the HR person asking the usual questions and giving me a chance to ask my own. Even though the interviewer was nice, I never heard back about my application status, despite them saying I would get an update within 2 business days. It's one thing to not hear back after applying, but if you've gotten to the phone interview stage or further, it's just basic professional courtesy to keep the candidate informed.
- Can you describe your professional background?
- Describe a situation where you encountered workplace conflict and explain how you handled it.
Happiness Crew Member
My first interview was a phone call with Gecelie, who was really nice and helped me out a lot. Then, I had an in-person interview with the Nashville crew, Lori and Jasmyne, and they made me feel welcome and answered all my questions. Later that day, I talked to Joey on the phone, and he was also super helpful and gave me a lot of information about the job. The whole process was really organized, got straight to the point, was helpful and informative, and also super fast!
- Can you tell me about your previous experience in customer service and food service roles?
Operations Manager
The interview process included a recruiter phone screen, followed by an onsite interview with the hiring manager and two peers. Despite receiving an offer, it was at the lower end of the initial salary range discussed by the recruiter, with the explanation that the P&L wouldn't permit a higher amount. This was frustrating as the candidate would not have proceeded had this been stated upfront, feeling like their time was wasted. The advertised base range of $65k-$75k was effectively just $65k with no flexibility. A follow-up email to the recruiter about declining the offer went unanswered, which the candidate felt was poor communication and disrespectful to their time. The overall process was considered a waste of time.
- Describe an instance where you encountered an inventory problem and the steps you took to resolve it.
Office Manager
I sent in my application online and heard back the very next day. Things moved really fast from there: I had a phone screen the day after applying, and then they told me right away that I was progressing. The in-person interview happened 5 days later. Everyone I met during the on-site was super welcoming and nice. They really seem invested in the company and the team, which was great. The whole process felt very open and transparent.
- Can you share an instance of how you would plan an event?
