First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GardaWorld Security Services US.
Security Account Manager
I attended a mass hiring event that was held in a hotel. It was a bit strange because most people there didn't look like they were interviewing, more like they were going to the mall. The interviewers seemed really sharp and knew exactly what they were looking for.
- Could you explain the purpose of a write-up or counseling session?
Security
I had an interview for a security role. The hiring managers seemed racist and I believe I was denied the position because of it, even though I performed exceptionally well. They said they would follow up within a few days about the decision, but I never heard back from them. I found both hiring managers to be very strange and racist. I would not recommend working there.
- Can you describe your security experience?
Human Resources Coordinator
Applied through Indeed last month. Got a call and text a few days later from a recruiter for a phone screen. After that, a video interview was set up the following week with 3 people from the company. Was told it was a one and done interview process before an offer. When I logged in, only one person was there. We had a decent interview and I assumed I'd still meet with the other two, but the interviewer assured me no more interviews were needed and a decision would be made that same day. I really thought I'd get the role. Days passed, I tried to reach my recruiter for an update. The following week, I got a rejection email saying a different candidate was chosen. Later that week, I got a call from my interviewer asking if I was still interested, he was surprised I got a rejection email. He said he'd contact the recruiter and I should expect a call back that day. Heard nothing. The following week, I emailed my recruiter again because I saw the job reposted on Indeed. A second interview was scheduled and I met with 3 people. They said a decision would be made *very* soon. Heard nothing after that interview. Today, almost a week later, the job is reposted so I assume I wasn't chosen. Worst candidate experience ever! Wouldn't recommend applying for HR positions at GardaWorld Security.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What prompted you to go into HR?
- Describe how you would address a situation where an employee reports sexual harassment and outline the steps you would take.
Recruiter
The whole interview thing took over a month and had 4 interviews. It was wild, they asked me the exact same questions every single time. After all that, I never heard back from them. I even reached out to ask if they'd moved on with someone else, but nope, no response. They totally ghosted me. Felt like a huge waste of my time, especially since they took so long with it. I don't mind not getting the job, but a heads-up would have been nice.
- Are you capable of managing high-volume recruitment and thriving in a metrics-driven setting?
