Behavioral Technical Presentation

The recruiting process at this company felt like a step back in time. After I was contacted on Linkedin, they led me on for five months straight. Each few weeks I'd do another interview round, and then there would be weeks of silence. When I followed up, I'd be asked for another interview, followed by more silence. There was no transparency, no communication, and no clear expectations about the process. All interviews went great, and every time I asked about our progress, I was assured an offer was next. But it never happened. They kept saying 'This is a confidential position' to avoid giving me anything in writing, not even a job description. They seemed really disorganized and didn't seem to care about my experience at all. Over four months, I had one phone screen and five in-person interviews. Five of these six had major scheduling problems, including a last-minute change of venue and someone not showing up! Throughout the process, the company made several promises about next steps and timelines, but none of them happened. In the fifth month, after I pushed hard, they finally made an offer that was way lower than we agreed on, even though they had assured me they had the budget for more. When I tried to negotiate, they went back on their word and acted like they were doing me a favor by offering anything at all. In the end, they took back the written offer because they wouldn't negotiate. The interviewers didn't even have the decency to call and explain. Garage Team Mazda is an old, tired place stuck in its old-school ways. People there have been around for ages and have that textbook ivory tower syndrome. This company is too arrogant to value candidates. Total red tape. Don't waste your interview time here.
