Software Engineer
The company came to our college to hire. The selection process had 3 parts: an online assessment, a technical round, and an HR round. The assessment involved writing a SQL query and solving a medium Java problem. The technical round had coding questions like finding the height of a tree with recursion, merge sort, and removing duplicates in a doubly linked list.

The interview process was quite thorough. The main quirk was that the interviewer seemed more nervous than I was. The questions felt like standard online assessment queries. I wished they'd probed deeper to really gauge my knowledge, but their nerves held them back. My bad for not picking up on that and giving more surface-level answers instead of diving deeper. During the practical exercise, I had an interruption because my boss called, and I lost about half an hour, which I could have used to finish the task much better. I submitted what I could, and ultimately, I was rated 'Advanced' instead of 'Senior.' They informed me of the salary range and said they'd reach out when a suitable position opened up.
