Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gammon Construction.
Engineer
The interview process for this experienced hire role was quite smooth and consisted of one round. There wasn't an English-specific interview, it was more about discussing my background and work experience, along with some technical questions and the reasons for my interest in the company.
- What makes you want to join Gammon?
Engineer
Applied online but didn't hear back, so I applied again with an employee referral. Got a call from HR within 2 days. They set up an interview with HR (1on1) and then an interview with the Manager (1on1). Received an offer and signed the contract at the head office. The whole process took about 2 weeks. I definitely recommend applying with a referral; otherwise, you might not even get a call.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What would you consider your greatest weakness?
- Can you tell me about a memorable or difficult situation you faced and how you overcame it?
Engineer
The interview process was good and short, with attentive interviewers from Human Resources and the Head of Department. They gave a clear explanation of the job requirements and salary offers. The onboarding process, from the interview to signing the contract, was quite long though.
- Can you tell me more about your previous work experiences?
