First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gamma Technologies Inc..
Senior Software Engineer
There were 3 rounds in total. First, an HR call to talk about GT and why I applied, plus some resume stuff. After that, I got an email to set up a 1-hour online interview with HR, a mentor, and a group lead. This one dug deeper into my background and resume, and I got to ask questions about the job. Then, the final round was a full day on-site. The morning involved a presentation on my previous work and chats with mentors, group leaders, and colleagues. In the afternoon, we toured the company and I had one-on-one talks with team members.
- Why do you want to join GT and what do you know about the company?
- Are you interested in the responsibilities of this role?
Applications Engineer
So the first step is just a phone call, they wanna know more about what you've done before. Then, the second step is an onsite where you gotta give this 20-25 minute technical presentation. A bunch of the group leads will be there and they'll be asking you stuff the whole time during your presentation.
- Could you share details about your previous work and experiences?
- What aspects of your technical presentation would you like to highlight?
- What specific technical points from your presentation can you discuss further?
Administrative Assistant/Office Manager
I saw the job ad online and the hiring manager reached out the same day. We had a roughly 15-20 minute phone call where we went over my resume and work history. He told me about the company and the job, and we talked about how my past and current jobs would match what they're looking for. He then asked me to come in for an in-person interview. We set a date, and he asked me to fill out some quick demographic info online for legal reasons. The in-person interview was a group one with him and two other people. It was pretty much a longer version of our phone chat, talking about my past work, duties, and future aspirations, and how they align with the company's needs for the role and overall.
- The interviewing process did not involve any tricky or aggressive tactics. It felt like a straightforward and truthful interaction; a typical, pleasant discussion overall.
Applications Engineer
I first connected with GT at a university job fair. I had a good chat with one of the team leads there and they told me to apply online. About a week later, I had a Skype interview which went well and they decided my skills were a good fit. After that, they invited me to their Westmont office for an on-site interview. It started with a 30-minute presentation about my masters thesis, and then they asked me some questions about it. After that, I had one-on-one interviews with several people. We had lunch in between. Overall it was a really nice experience, they seemed genuinely interested in learning about me and what I can do. If you know your stuff, it's a pretty enjoyable and straightforward interview.
- Following up on your presentation, what was it about GT that particularly attracted you?
- Could you tell us more about your masters thesis?
