The recruiter seemed to just glance over my resume without paying attention to details. The receptionist seemed surprised I was on time and made me fill out redundant information. A person from the parent company came in to 'prep me' and didn't even know what position I was applying for. The recruiter was late. I was told I didn't need sales background, which was odd. There was a staged conference call announcement from 'the boss' using generic sales talk and unprofessional terms. When asked about my start date, they were hesitant about my two weeks notice, saying they hire new people every Monday. They also mentioned their sales approach is like 'throwing gum at the wall until it sticks,' suggesting high turnover. The 8am-5pm shift was non-negotiable, which wasn't mentioned before. The job involves cold calling, profiling local businesses, and selling 2 ads a day at $395, expecting around 150 calls daily with pressure to increase quotas. It felt like they were trying to sell me the job.

I saw their posts on Craigslist a lot and decided to send in my resume. I got a quick call back from Gary, the recruiter, who told me about the company and asked me to come in. The interview was on Thursday, lasted about an hour, and I spoke with Gary and then Dave, the manager, after a brief tour. They made me an offer, and I started on Monday.

The process was very easy. They first called me for a Zoom interview, then invited me in for a face-to-face interview. It was about 30 minutes with some shadowing on the sales floor. They scheduled a follow-up interview where I was offered a position on the spot.

It was a quick and easy process. Grant hired me. I really enjoyed talking with him, and he walked me through the whole thing clearly.
