The initial screening was pretty laid-back and took a couple of days to hear back about the task assessment. The task itself was super time-consuming, and then they took weeks to give me feedback, which was a bummer. I was really keen on the job and had to follow up a bunch of times because they missed their feedback deadline twice. Turns out, the hiring manager went with someone else. That's fine, but it would have been better to know sooner than being left hanging for ages. The task also took many hours and they only gave me two days to do it. Again, okay, but given they couldn't meet their own deadline, it felt a bit much.

The hiring process was quick and very straight forward. After a short call with the director of people operations to discuss my work history and expectations, I was moved onto an interview with the QA Lead a few days later. This lasted for around an hour and involved a general back and fourth about myself and the company. During this, we interspersed between questions around my thoughts on the QA process and my career thus far. This was followed and finished up with some competency type questions. Not long after this, I had an interview with the director of development. This interview was more of a general chat about QA and the companies current development practices and where they would like to get to and how they could see me helping them get there. I applied for the job on a Monday and was offered it by the following Tuesday. It might have been even quicker had I been available to do the final interview sooner.

It was a complete disappointment! After I went through 6 interview rounds with the VP Operations, EU Managing Director, Project manager, and HR, I was given a written offer. At that point, I had offers from 2 other companies, which I had already told them about. Unfortunately, I accepted the offer from Gambling.com/Kax Media and resigned from my current job. Just 6 days before my official start date, they rescinded my offer because of changes in the roadmap for new hires. They didn't give me any compensation or further explanation. I was really disappointed by their abrupt decision, made within thirteen days of signing the contract and communicated via an abrupt email sent less than 6 working days before I was supposed to start. I chose KAX Media because I trusted the team and believed in the values stated by the CEO and COO of Gambling.com. If anyone is joining the company, please be aware they are very unprofessional.

It was a pretty straightforward two-step interview. A talent recruiter first reached out. After a quick chat with HR, I had a second interview that was about 45-60 minutes long. We mostly talked about my past experience in the industry. I got an offer via email pretty quickly and then started onboarding.
