First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Galileo.
Creative Hospitality
I had a phone call with a recruiter first, who was nice. She asked me to tell her about my resume and why I'm interested in Galileo and healthcare. After that, I had a video call with someone who seemed uninterested. He asked me 3 behavior questions that I didn't think were relevant to the job.
- Can you give me a brief overview of your resume?
- What attracts you to Galileo?
- Describe a situation where you exceeded expectations for someone.
Engagement Specialist
It was a multi-step interview process. First, I spoke with a talent scout. Then, I had an interview with the hiring manager. After that, I interviewed with some of my potential peers. There were several interviews spread out over a couple of weeks, but it all happened within the same two weeks. Honestly, it wasn't that fun knowing that I might not even get the job.
- What would you say is your weakest strength?
Scheduling Platform Administrator
I had a quick chat with a recruiter and then got a take-home assignment. After I sent it in, I waited a few days and had to chase them for an update. It was a bummer because the job posting was gone, so I figured they'd already hired someone. It's just kind of messed up that they don't just tell you right away instead of you having to reach out. Companies expect you to do this unpaid work on assessments but can't even bother to give you a simple 'no' or explain why you weren't a good fit, just the same old 'we went with someone else.' It’s a lazy excuse and really shows you the kind of place it is.
- Can you share details about your professional background and past experiences?
Manager, Virtual Patient Support
Got through the initial stages smoothly, and chatting with different team folks was great. Went through 2 interviews and consistently got good feedback, being told I was moving on each time. Then, I was asked to do a data analysis project, which took several hours to prepare for the next discussion phase. After sending it in, I didn't hear back for over a week. I followed up twice and got different reasons for the delay. Finally, after 3 weeks total since I submitted it, I was told we wouldn't be proceeding. Totally fine with not getting the job, but the issue is that they didn't follow through with what they said they would do. It also seems unfair to ask for such a big time commitment from a candidate and then not stick to the terms under which the work was requested.
- Can you describe a scenario and how you would handle it?
- Tell me about yourself and your background.
