Technical Coding System Design

So I had this take-home technical interview first. Then, the next part was a 30 minute call where we talked about my resume and did a design interview. After that, there was a 6 hour orientation and technical interview. The very last round involved a design question and then fixing bugs in some code. I gotta say, one of the interviewers was pretty rude. They mentioned before that their third round design question usually trips people up, and turns out it was because what they verbally asked and the PDF problem statement were actually different from what they wanted. One interviewer realized the mix-up and tried to apologize, but his colleague cut him off. Even though I finished the technical part of round three early, they passed on me because of the design question mix-up.

So we had 4 rounds total. First was with HR, then we talked about my resume, projects, and work stuff. Then there was a round where I had to design a system, and then a technical knowledge one, and last was a live coding test.

Coding Technical System Design

This was the most thorough and dense interview process I've ever been through with a company. It involved over 8 hours of interviews. Unfortunately, they moved on with other candidates without providing any feedback after the 4th round, which included an OA. The interviewers in the final technical assessment, which lasted 6 hours, seemed disinterested and didn't offer any feedback on my code after reviewing my solution, as if they had already decided who to advance before the interview began. The other reviews are accurate; they will ask you to describe an elevator system, specifically DSA, in the 2nd round. You'll initially get a LeetCode-style OA with two problems before speaking with the recruiter.

Technical Coding System Design Behavioral

The interview process started with an online assessment that was pretty easy and had two questions. The second round involved a system design problem (Elevator) and a review of my resume. Scheduling this second round was really tough because the recruiter only replied once every other evening. Unfortunately, I didn't advance past the system design round. I wish I had gotten more direct feedback from the interviewers about what was wrong with my design. Everything seemed to go well; I asked if my points made sense, and they said yes. I answered their questions, and generally, they said I did a great job. So, I'm not sure where things went wrong. I would have appreciated some honest feedback after putting in so much effort to be available for the second interview.
