First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gala Games.
Operations Analyst
It was a pretty easy 4 round process. They were super fast with updates after each interview. A referral might be a good idea.
- What is it about our startup that makes you want to work here?
- Tell me about how you deal with unclear situations or unexpected problems.
- Can you share an example of a time you stepped up to lead a project?
Senior QA Specialist
There were 3 interviews in total. First, I spoke with HR. Then, I had 2 interviews with the person who would be my direct supervisor. Finally, I met with 4 people from the team I'd be joining, which included my direct supervisor and his boss.
- Can you describe a time you had a strong opinion on an issue that your direct superior disagreed with, and how you navigated that situation?
UX-UI Designer
The process was really thorough and clear, and the people interviewing me were super professional. They seemed really interested in what I've done and wanted me to go deep on each project.
- Could you present your portfolio?
- Can you walk me through your past projects in detail?
Community Manager
First, a recruiter called to talk about my background and if I was a good fit for the job. Then I met with the hiring manager. After that, I had to do a skills/portfolio task or discuss a case study. The last step was a panel interview to see how I'd fit with the team. References and then the offer decision came after that.
- How would you approach growing a community?
