First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at G3 Technologies.
Software Engineer
Started with a phone screen to talk about my background and work history. Then, a technical phone interview followed, mostly about C++ stuff. After that, a 5-hour face-to-face interview with 7 people, from technical leads to peers to the VP. They asked about my past experience, how I'd implement things, and showed me code to see what it would do. Some interviewers were super prepared, others seemed clueless. They said they'd get back to me in about a week. After 10 days of silence, I followed up. The HR person said she'd check. I followed up for the next three weeks, getting the same 'I'll check' response. It's frustrating when they keep you hanging instead of just making a decision.
- Can you explain virtual destructors in C++ and their purpose?
Software Engineer Intern
The interview process had very few technical questions, mostly focusing on personality. There were two rounds total, both conducted over the phone. The interviewer was significantly late for both scheduled calls. The first interview involved going over a presentation about the company's business and discussing it. The second interview was quite long, between 1-2 hours, and featured a lot of strange personality questions. I was repeatedly told I would get an offer, but in the end, I didn't.
- What sort of person gets you angry?
- What music do you enjoy?
Software Engineer
It was a pretty long in-person interview. I spoke with about five different people over the course of four hours. They asked mainly technical questions, including some on the whiteboard and some basic knowledge ones. Everyone I met was really friendly and seemed well-prepared.
- Could you build a basic webpage on the whiteboard, covering HTML, CSS, and AJAX requirements?
