Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at G2.
Marketing
I applied online and had a recruiter call. Then I met with the hiring manager and it went well. Next, I met with 3 other people, some of whom would be direct reports. Two of them gave me a negative, unfriendly vibe and I felt there might be some bias. The pay was also lower than my last two jobs.
- Can you discuss your past roles?
- Could you describe your experience with campaigns?
- What about your experience with ABM programs?
Marketing
It was a pretty standard interview process. First, I had a call with an external recruiter, and then my resume was submitted to the company. A few days later, I had to take a Wonderlic-style test. After passing that, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager, and then I was invited for an in-person interview. Even though I didn't get the job, the hiring manager was nice, and I had a good experience. I'd still like to work at G2 in the future, even though this position wasn't the right fit.
- What do you know about G2 Crowd?
Marketing
The interview process at G2 felt similar to other reviews. I had a negative experience with the online assessment. The IQ test didn't seem related to the job skills, and I thought it was a waste of time before anyone even talked to me. I think the company should reconsider their process. At least do a 15-minute phone screen before making candidates spend an hour on a test.
- What's your competitive nature like?
